Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre Violin Sonatas transcribed

The violin sonatas by Jacquet De La Guerre translate wonderfully to viola. Transcriptions mean an ease of playability, making the pieces accessible for a wider range of violists.  More playability for more instruments means more representation and everyone wins!

We’ll keep you updated as we go! If you have interest in transcription (especially with a focus on HIP performance) we’d be thrilled to work with you. We’re also looking for those who would like to use these with their students, have a connection or means for publication, would like to record them on viola, or would just like to play them as an editor. We love collaboration!
